How to Get Started

Step 1: Secure your domain name and choose a hosting plan.
Your domain name is the URL of your site and its what people will type in to get to your website. The domain name of this site is quikartist.com. Make sure to select a good name that's relevant to the material you want to present. Pick something easy to remember without any numbers or special characters. If you want to start a blog, a good option is yourname.com. If you're creating a site for a business, the best option is yourbusinessname.com. Remember, you can't change this down the road. So choose wisely! Next, select your desired hosting plan.

Pro Tip: Take full advantage of our coupon deal on the right to get a complimentary domain and a discounted $3.95/month hosting plan at no extra cost!

Step 2: Have our buddies at BlueHost configure WordPress for you, free of charge.
WordPress is THE platform of choice for non-techies who want to focus on creating valuable professional-looking content, without being bogged down by the complexities of coding a website from scratch. WordPress itself is a web-based software (no download requited) that is extremely user friendly and allows you to do everything from creating beautiful web pages, manage security, keep an eye on valuable metrics, and much much more! To boost your learning curve, grab a copy of our free ebook. It will hold your hand and walk you through EXACTLY what to do from 0 to 100.

Step 3: Grab the free eBook and start studying!
Originally, I thought about slapping a price tag on this to make some extra profit. Since I care about my followers and viewers, I'm leaving it up for free (for now) so take full advantage of it!!!
Why waste hours browsing countless forums figuring out how to get something to work when you can just watch a seasoned pro show you the ropes!

Bonus - Grab an Absolutely Killer theme!

Humans are visual creatures and we all have a tendency to judge based on first impression appearances. One of the most overlooked aspects of building an audience and providing an awesome user experience is professional design.
You pretty much have 3 options when it comes to this.

1) Code the HTML, the CSS style sheets, as well as all the back-end work yourself.
This is pretty much a non-option for all but the most experienced of techies.

2) Pay an overseas developer anywhere from $1000 - $5000 to design your site for you.
If you have the money and want to go for a 100% custom look with total flexibility over every tiny detail, this isn't such a bad option.

3) Buy a professional StudioPress theme that is compatible with WordPress
This is the option I myself use and recommend you guys to follow as well. I use StudioPress themes for all my sites ranging from blogs to e-commerce stores and I love them for 2 reasons - they look really freakin' good, and they're easy to configure and use. Most themes you find online look like crap (even most paid ones) and they don't have the awesome Genesis backend framework that comes with StudioPress themes. If you've never worked with one before, it will cost around $100 for your first theme + the framework. Once you've bought the Genesis framework, you can get any additional StudioPress theme for as cheap as $30. In case you're curious, my personal favorites are Altitude Pro and Metro Pro.

Take a glance at a few of their themes below and click here to get your own badass theme!
